During the research phase, I was determined to not only create a clean and simple experience for the end user, but to also create an extremely user-friendly experience for anyone within the company to be able to make updates to the site. I concluded that the parts of the site that would most often need to be updated were the client section, the team section and the hiring section. My goal was for someone that is not experienced in coding or even Adobe Muse, which I used to create the site, to be able to make quick edits. My solution was implementing a system where the images on the client grid and the team member grid are able to be updated using a Google Sheets spreadsheet. This is the same case for the hiring section. The HR director can open the Google document, make any necessary changes, and the website is updated in real-time.
We are getting ready to launch the new website. While still a work-in-progress, the site is fully functional, operational and fully responsive. We are scheduling a video shoot in the coming weeks that I will get to direct in location to replace the proof-of-concept video currently playing as the site intro. I am very excited to finally launch this website, the most involved and ambitious web project I've undertaken fully from concept to launch.
I was also in charge of creating a new blog for PHCP. I was able to implement the same Google Sheets back-end system for the blog, so that our blog manager could add entries as needed without to access anything else.
